Kachhwa Christian Hospital is a 107 year old, 15- bedded hospital situated 40 km from Varanasi, started by Dr Ashton as a small dispensary in 1897. The hospital came under EHA's management in 1974. After losing popularity in the last three decades, the relevance of KCH changed. The hospital now has a vision to transform the community, and in 2004 made several key advances to make the hospital poor friendly.

Key Accomplishments
Medical camps were held in identified poor villages to reduce the burden of disease. 9,000 poor patients were seen in the medical camps. Water and Sanitation program was initiated: Water pumps were installed in poor villages to provide potable water to the affected communities. |
